The Role of Training Groups

Approximately 1000 training days completed annually by members of the Contractors Training Group NE.

Construction industry training groups were established by CITB to bring together like-minded companies with a commitment to improving competitiveness through training.

The Contractors Training Group NE was established in the North East in 2000 to assist with the training needs of construction companies of all sizes which are both cost effective and delivered locally.

By joining together, members of the group take an active part in promoting training within their companies at all levels and are supported by Training Co-ordinators who can organise tailored training or book scheduled courses on behalf of members.

The Training Groups are grant aided by CITB and members can gain access to special rates for local courses. A small annual fee secures membership.
